Job Description :
The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for monitoring the internal controls of the Company to ensure effective design and operation, and for recommending changes and improvements to internal controls that mitigate risk, improve operational efficiency, safeguard assets and ensure compliance with laws, regulations and Company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Duties:
1.      Execute financial, compliance, and operational audits in accordance with Internal Audit policies and procedures, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
2.      Manage the day-to-day operation of the NGKF Internal Audit function including assigning project tasks and reviewing work papers to ensure conclusions are adequately supported, documentation standards met, and detailed testing performed.
3.      Provide leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports.
4.      Conduct interviews and discussions to understand and document processes, controls, and procedures.
5.      Develop internal audit procedures as required to review processes and test internal controls and procedures.
6.      Perform testing to assess the design / operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX).
7.      Document audit work papers in accordance with professional practices and the standards of the Internal Audit Department, and SOX departmental requirements. 
8.      Identify audit issues and evaluate the implications / significance for financial reporting or areas for operational enhancements.
9.      Develop recommendations with management to mitigate risks, improve processes, and strengthen controls.
10. Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate audit findings to senior management.
11. Manage and maintain relationships with department managers, external auditors, and third parties, where necessary.
12. Assist with preparation of the annual audit plan and special projects, as required.
Skills, Education And Experience:
·         Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline)
·         Minimum 5 year experience, preferably both public accounting and/or internal audit
·         Commercial real estate services experience required
·         Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, including AS No.5
·         Experience in SOX compliance and testing of internal controls over financial reporting
·         CPA or CIA preferred
·         Excellent interpersonal skills
·         Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
·         Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize tasks
·         Ability to work with senior management and provide timely updates on progress and issues
·         Ability to work cohesively in a team environment and with external / internal audit staff
·         Experience supervising and leading staff
·         May perform other duties as assigned
